Electronic Musician BT (short for Brian Transeau) released his album This Binary Universe in 2006. In an attempt to paint ambient landscapes using electronic music, BT also collaborated with artists of many different fields to create an additional disc, packed with visual representations of his work. The following magazine spreads were created as beds for text accompanying an article about the album. The first spread features BT mixing live in a nightclub environment. The same visual style has been applied to his logo, featured on the right page. The second spread is more reflective of the auditory landscapes painted in This Binary Universe. A stock photograph of an arctic landscape was manipulated, creating strong contrast and depth-of-field through separation of levels of landscape.
