As the result of a new and emerging field, broadcast design and motion graphics artists tend to be very intense individuals. Some, including myself, consider these artists to be the “rockstars” of art, creating attention grabbing visuals and extremely imaginative concepts.
My close friend Yates Holley contracted me to create an identity for him that embodied this mentality. Thus, the YHOLLEY logo was born; a synthesis of rockstar design and radial symmetry. This identity was eventually further developed by Yates Holley into a motion graphics sequence as part of his personal branding.
